this is not new news, nor is it anything i thought of myself.
bees are disappearing.
bees pollinate flowers that come to be vegetables. we eat vegetables.
bees pollinate alfalfa. cows eat alfalfa. we eat cows.
bees are disappearing, vegetables and cows will become scarce. brown people in third world countries will die. some americans will have enough money to afford meat and vegetables. most wont. most will survive on grain and water. this will bring much change to the way we live our lives. people will kill and fight for food. many will die. industries will fall. unemployment and homelessness will rise greatly. many people will die.
i am so excited i can barely contain myself. i'll be preparing and traveling until the apocalypse comes. see you then.

“You’ll have a hive today, and you may go back in two weeks, and there’s no sign of a bee — no dead bodies, nothing,” said Clifford Ward, a West Columbia beekeeper. “When they just leave for no reason, it makes you wonder what’s going on.”
The disorder has killed off thousands of colonies around the nation since the first case was reported last fall.
Beekeepers in some parts of the country lose hundreds of colonies at a time. In South Carolina, there is no official count of colony losses, but the number would be very low compared to other parts of the country.
A few cases have been reported here, but no one knows why it is worse in other parts of the country than in the Southeast.
Beekeepers have suffered through past crises that killed off hives, such as mite problems in the 1990s. This time, no one knows why the bees are dying.----
